As some of you may know, I am lord Glambildorn, proud ruler of Gilsbrikt. The last couple of years I have received an increasing number of letters from neighboring lords, who have desired my advice. The questions have ranged from strategic considerations in the arena, to simple money affairs. Alas! I have grown tired of answering them all personally, so now I have decided to proclaim my considerations on the life as a lord - here! Hence, I will – from time to time – send my scribe forth to scribble down the wisdom of a veteran lord. Take it or leave it – it is not up for debate. May strength, wisdom and steel guide you to Pelantas! Aldeas Glambildorn Path to Pelantas - a text-based browser roleplaying game (PBBG)

Here is my first piece of advice: A while back, I always had troubles with my weekly exercise battles. Sometimes I even ended up sending my dear prospects to their deaths. But then I came up with a rather useful strategy. How was it…? Ah yes, now I remember; three heroes attacking from afar, and two to protect. Worked as a charm, and has done so ever since. This must suffice for now. Fortuity to you all! Path to Pelantas - a text-based browser roleplaying game (PBBG)

Here is a minor thing, but imperative nonetheless! Beware of stray dogs, barking in the night. Path to Pelantas - a text-based browser roleplaying game (PBBG)

Thoughts on new seasons: A new beginning, a fresh start, the dawn of a new age – yes, the sayings are multiple. However, bear in mind: only fools rush in! Stay in touch with your heart and make those decisions that carry an inherent truth. At first sight, long journeys can seem difficult, laborious, almost impossible to complete – like the sending of a young orc to fight a ghost steed – but if there is a will, there is a way! Thus, sharpen your sword, polish your plate and find thy path. And when you have done so, there is only one way forward, and that is to charge! My thoughts have been cloudy of late, but rays of awareness are again beginning to penetrate these lackluster walls. And suddenly I remembered: I like to visit the market on a regular basis. Just to make sure that I’m not missing out on a good bargain. Funny thing actually… Path to Pelantas - a text-based browser roleplaying game (PBBG)

Yesterday my grandfather visited me at my home. It was delightful to see him again and he shared many things from his extraordinary vault of wisdom. Especially one utterance stuck in my mind, and I now wish to share it with all of you. When we touched upon the subject of tradition my grandfather said: “when a man solely navigates by the compass of tradition, he sleepwalks through his existence. Habits must always be challenged in order for life to continuously reveal the beauty of its infinity.” Path to Pelantas - a text-based browser roleplaying game (PBBG)

My advice to you today is simple yet profoundly important. In all matters of life – common or heroic – you must never give up! All battles can be won, even the ones against 5 grim-looking, grim-named orcs bearing morning stars and javelins (only pole-arm specialists of course). Ride that steed of malice to the end!
