>> Send your tax collectors to get another 1000 gold anybody had this one so far? the extra income sounds tempting but i think that if you get too greedy (like choosing 1000 gold) the event might be a negative one.

I stopped looking for information on special events as I believe knowing the result beforehand takes away the excitement. But this one is interesting because the amount of gold that can be earned is significant and indeed it may lead to very serious consequences. I never saw this one but I have the feeling that in any case you'll get penalized. The penalty is probably the population mood, number of population or both. If you chose 1000 I believe the penalty will be very strong. Still, very good money. Please post the results.

Please post the results. yeah, the 1000 gold is very tempting especially for a new player like me (less than 1 season). i'm actually pondering really hard on this one. on one hand getting 1000 gold might be worth losing 100-200 people or droping a few steps in population mood. on the other hand what if the repercussions are even stronger? what if the population starts a riot that gets in a fight with my heroes. half my heroes die and half my population leaves and i dont'even get the 1000 gold.......

Woah, I don't think it will have such drastic consequences on your heroes. I have never heard heroes die because of a SE. But your population may be cut in half or something dramatic like that. I don't know, if it is the case, a new player can probably still afford it. If it had happened to me, I would have probably lost more money due to severely cut tax revenue than that could be compensated with 1000 golds. As you said, you might not get a dime if you demand 1000 golds as well. Just don't know, I am very curious about your decision and the result.

well to be honest i was afraid to hit the 1000 gold button so chose a more modest one. Code:Send your tax collectors to get another 300 gold
Your inhabitants pay up without any complaints. They must consider you a great ruler of Utopia.

Oooh, how nice! You did't get any penalty at all. A clean 300 gold must be very pleasing. You were probably right, I now seriously doubt if you had hit 1000 gold button would you get by without being punished. Nice decision.

who knows? maybe somebody else will get this SE and have the guts to ask for 1000 gold and we'll see what happens.

Your inhabitants are outraged with your decision. Many refuses to pay up and quite a few even leaves Field of Death.
